A landmark for discovering nature and having a fantastic adventure at Gavia Pass. Open from late May to early October, Rifugio Bonetta has been located in the heart of Stelvio National Park since 1960. Situated at the top of the Gavia Pass, thanks to its location you can enjoy a breathtaking view: in the foreground, reflecting on the small but splendid Lake Bianco, is the Corno dei Tre Signori, alongside is Mount Gaviola and all the most beautiful peaks of the Ortles-Cevedale and Adamello groups. At the Bonetta Refuge you can get advice on the most suitable of a variety of walks for all levels and ages: you can discover the many hidden White War trenches, walk in search of chamois, ibex, marmots and eagles, you can have fun conquering the many peaks.
Easy to access thanks to the paved road that leads up to an elevation of 2652 meters, the hut can be reached comfortably by car and is a happy stop and destination for cyclists, bikers, mountaineers and anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the wilderness. The refuge is 26 km from Bormio (13km from Santa Caterina Valfurva) and 17 km from Ponte di Legno.

In our facility we offer a bar and restaurant service where you can find traditional Valtellina cuisine and local products, served with passion in the characteristic indoor rooms and on the panoramic terrace in full respect of Valtellina mountain tradition and culture.
Rooms
Our six rooms with adjoining bathrooms can accommodate up to 22 guests. Awaiting you are fairy-tale awakenings in pure and immaculate silence, dark and incredible nights, and all the warmth that the Bonetta family will provide. Each sleeping place is equipped with comforters and sheets for maximum comfort and quality rest. When you wake up you will feel regenerated in body and spirit.

Services
Cell phones have signal coverage a few hundred meters from the hut, where you will still find a working phone via radio bridge in case you need it. The facility provides free Wi-Fi via satellite connection.
The hut is not provided with continuous electricity: we use only solar panels with accumulators and a state-of-the-art generator set (only during central hours) to ensure, even at night, electricity. Electrical outlets are not provided in the rooms, but are available in the bathrooms and other rooms in the facility. Hot running water, including for showers, is available all day including night. You will find heating in some rooms, all of which are equipped with sheets and comforters.
